Application Privacy Policy

1. Information We Collect

We collect only the minimum data required to operate Geo Quizzer:

• Gameplay data: Local sessions, timers, and scores stored in your browser. When you create an account, scores may also be stored securely in Supabase.
• Account data: Email, hashed password, and optional display name. OAuth providers share your name and email if you authorize Google Sign-In.
• Device data: Standard server logs (IP address, user agent) to prevent abuse and diagnose outages.

2. How We Use Data

Collected data is used solely to authenticate players, display personalized leaderboards, and improve game stability. We do not sell or rent information to third parties. Aggregated analytics may be used to understand which games are most popular.

3. Cookies & Local Storage

Geo Quizzer uses secure cookies for login sessions and local storage for client-side progress. Sensitive values are encrypted before being stored in the browser. Clearing your browser data will remove this information.

4. Data Sharing & Security

All account data resides on Supabase (PostgreSQL). Communication between the app and Supabase uses HTTPS. We enforce least-privilege policies and never share personally identifiable information with advertisers.

If you need to delete your account or have privacy questions, email support@geoquizzer.org. We will respond within 30 days.
